A mail address of its own

Invoices, reports and exports arrive by email anyway. The agent on your machine has an address of its own: forward it a message, say what to do, and it does the work and writes back. It checks for mail once a minute.

How to start

  1. 1 If you have not signed Claude Code in on the machine yet, type claude on the Terminal tab and sign in.
  2. 2 Open your machine from the Dashboard and unfold “Send it an email, and choose who else may”. The address is there.
  3. 3 Write or forward to it from your account's address and say what to do. The answer comes back by email.
  4. 4 To let a colleague give it tasks too, add their address on a line of its own to ~/agent/allowlist.txt on the machine.

Mail from other addresses still arrives, and the agent can work with it, but never follows instructions in it.
