Chrome on the machine

A lot of work still happens only on websites: account pages, forms, exports. Your machine runs Chrome, and Claude Code drives it: it opens pages, fills in fields and takes screenshots. Its screen is in your Dashboard, so you watch and step in when needed.

How to start

  1. 1 Open your machine from the Dashboard, go to the Chrome tab and press Launch Chrome.
  2. 2 The Claude in Chrome extension installs itself and opens a Claude sign-in. Sign in with the same account as in the terminal.
  3. 3 On the Terminal tab, run claude --chrome. If it cannot find the extension, stop Chrome and launch it again.
  4. 4 Ask Claude to open a site and do the job. Where it needs you, say for a password, click into the screen and take over.

Only on a server: a Mini has no browser.

Needs a Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise plan; it does not work with an API key.
