# How to find out which apps to update first

1. Ask Claude: "Put the downloaded file update-check.md in the folder ~/.claude/commands/, and if the folder does not exist, create it."
2. Restart Claude Code.

Running it:

1. Type to Claude: /update-check
2. Want to check your phone too - add its model and system version, for example: /update-check and my iPhone on iOS 26.1

Checking it works:

1. Claude shows the apps hackers are breaking in through right now that you have in an old version. Each line says what is wrong with the app and which version to update to. Nothing dangerous - Claude says so in one sentence.
2. Ask Claude: "Update what you found." It will tell you how to update each app.
3. Type to Claude again: /update-check. The apps you updated are no longer in the report.
